1- Inga: Entretejidos de historias, formas y colores


Place: 
Colombo Niza Branch : exhibition hall, located in Bulevar Shopping Center, third floor, north side. 

Indigenous communities, and peasant women, are carriers of knowledge transmitted orally through their generations. This knowledge has allowed them to understand their environments and create thoughts enhancing community life and strengthen relationships through nature elements.

Uaira Uaua (son of the wind) is the traditional name of Benjamín Jacanamijoy Tisoy, artist of the Inga people who uses plastic arts to tell stories in a great interweaving.

The exhibition "Inga" invites you to reflect on our relationship with nature, with the knowledge of our peoples, the importance of oral tradition and art as a historical document.

From February 23 to April 8
From Monday to Friday: 10:00 a.m. at 6:00 p.m. / Saturdays from 8:00 a.m. at 4:00 p.m.

Miguel Urrutia Art Museum (MAMU),Temporary exhibition room - Floor 2, Bogotá

Through a characteristic ironic point of view, this member of the prestigious agency Magnum Photos, documents for almost forty years, the grotesque inclinations of our civilization. Whether through the study of British society or a reflection on the effects of globalization, cultural identity, or mass consumerism, each photography invites us to decipher the complex signs of our time.

"Closing the loop" Film Screening

The Faculty of Economics and Cempre Colombia, invite you to the event " Closing the loop", a documentary about the revolution of the circular economy. 

In Colombia, as part of the implementation of the Circular Economy Strategy, and with the great need to educate about citizenship, this event is articulated with the Circular Economy Club, an international network of more than 3100 professionals and organizations from more than 85 countries. 

The film will be in English with Spanish subtitles.

1- Guided visit: Astronomical representations in the pieces of the Gold Museum

Place: Bogota Gold Museum, Main entrance Cra 6 n. 15-88 
Time: 4 to 6 pm

In this session of the Scientific Reading Club in Astronomy - ASTROBLAA we will take a guided tour and conversation at the Gold Museum. We will learn to recognize astronomical evidences and conceptions about the structure of the universe in different pieces of the Gold Museum.

2- Concert Maria Cristina Plata  (Colombia ) and La La                  ( Peru)

2- FREE THEATRE PLAYS AT AVENIDA JIMENEZ SUBWAY:  Shakespeare's Night March 5th and March 6th, 2019

The basement of Jiménez Avenue is a mystery for the passers-by of the new generations, since many do not know what is inside.

More than three decades ago, several commercial establishments operated on this site. At the moment it is a space of preparation for the students of the Superior Academy of Arts of Bogota (Asab).

In the coming weeks, the doors of the Jiménez Avenue subway will be open to the public, since several artistic free events will take place inside.

1- GUIDED VISIT: "Champetudo" trips: music, memory, and identity among Afro-Caribbean communities in Colombia
Special visit to the temporary exhibition of the Gold Museum and the sound repertoire of the descendants of enslaved Africans

Place: Bogota Gold Museum, Sala de exposiciones temporales
Time: 3 to 4pm

In this visit we will talk about the music repertoire, memory of the descendants of enslaved Africans, and  the pillar of their identities. With the sounds, rhythms, music and special songs of Afro-Caribbean and Afro-Antillean peoples, we will remember the economic, social and human impact of the slave trade promoted by French commerce in Europe, Africa and America between the 17th and 19th centuries.

2- Conference: Sam Richars and Laurie Mulvey's famous lecture "The needy Penis"

Professors Ph.D Sam Richards and Ph.D Laurie Mulvey, recognized in the academic community of the United States for their controversial talk and their sharp remarks at Penn State University, arrive at the University of Rosario with an attractive talk on gender relations, and the masculinization of human relationships, which invites students to question their role and behavior.

Sam and Laurie will openly discuss sex at the University. Our guests of Penn State University will present on March 7, at the Jockey Auditorium, an exciting and fun talk breaking all the schemes of a traditional master class, where complex issues such as the masculinization of the world and gender inequalities will be discussed, from the world of human sexuality.

This methodology, which was first taught in the Sociology 119 class (Soc 119) of Penn State University, reaches our University as part of the World in Conversation from Penn State University.

3- " Collections" Art Exhibition Opening 
Place: Museo de Artes Visuales, Universidad Jorge Tadeo Lozano, Bogota
Time: 7 PM

During her trips, Professor Elsa Zambrano was finding and keeping in her backpack dozens of postcards, figures and other reproductions of the most famous works of art in the world, from a small Rembrandt, to the same Venus of Boticcelli at a height of 12 centimeters .

Her art and collecting love led her to collect these treasures she found in flea markets and gift shops; thus they became popular works of art by placing them within small scenes where reproductions are now protagonists.


The Museum of Visual Arts of Utadeo presents the exhibition 'Collections', a sample made up of 9 series of compilations made by Professor Zambrano showing a connection between classical and contemporary art, referring to masterpieces such as "Girl with a Pearl earring" or "The meninas" of Velázquez.
