Through a characteristic ironic point of view, this member of the prestigious agency Magnum Photos, documents for almost forty years, the grotesque inclinations of our civilization. Whether through the study of British society or a reflection on the effects of globalization, cultural identity, or mass consumerism, each photography invites us to decipher the complex signs of our time.

This Exhibition made by second and fourth semester Students on Fashion Design program at CUN, is based, on the one hand, on the autumn-winter fashion trends' 2018 - 2019, on the other hand, they take elements abstracted from the concepts of the 40's and 70's decades.

4- University of Disaster

University of Disaster concerns the lives transformed by the excesses of the industrial-military complexes working in harmony with the development of new accelerated communication and surveillance technologies.

Radenko Milak, who is also an expert in Eastern European cinema, manages to sharpen, a socio-historical, philosophical and trans-political perspective, highlighting the links between war and cinema. Radenko Milak is an artist who lived closely the wars of dissolution of Yugoslavia, and the consequent marginalization of Bosnia from Western Europe.

5- Conjuro de Rios / Selva Cosmopolitica Exhibition
Place: Museo de Arte. Universidad Nacional de Colombia.
From : Sept 26th, 2018 to April 17th, 2019

"Conjuro de rios" exhibition shows the link between rivers and humanity. Inspired by Amazonian culture where human expression is made: through different dimensions, entities and parallel times, all coexisting in nature. The river is a powerful entity, having a creation power, and it also communicates, and rebels against the attempt of man to subdue, domesticate or extinguish it. Water is  shown as a common good, struggling to protect territories and life.

'La Negociación' documentary is the intimate story of the long and tortuous peace negotiations between the Colombian government and the FARC guerrillas. It portrays the long search for peace and the difficulty of transforming a country on war.

2- Talk with Belgium Illustrator Xavier Lowenthal

Xavier Löwenthal is the founder of the Belgian publishing house La 5e Couche / 5c, famous for his conceptual works of art, détournements (Katz, Noirs, etc.), deceptions in comics (Judith Forest). As an author (both writer and artist), he produced many books, such as Cotton Schwob, Iphigénie, Letters to Pauline, Le coup de grâce, Judith Forest's autobiography, Le Manifeste du Dégagisme (with Collectif Manifestement)

2- Martin Parr Conference

For more than forty years, Martin Parr has documented the effects of globalization, cultural identity and mass consumption. During the eighties, his photographs marked the renewal of graphic journalism and redefined the limits of documentary photography. Through a singular use of color, flash, large format or framing, his images represent nowadays times. During this talk, the photographer will talk about his career and his emblematic series, exhibited for the first time in Colombia.

2- Instant Pictures Workshop
Place: Museo de Arte Miguel Urrutia (MAMU), Sala de exposiciones temporales - Piso 2, 
Time: 2h30 pm  to 4h30 pm

Digital photography allows us to take many photos and then select the best, while instant photography makes you think more about image's composition and details. In this workshop, each participant will be able to take a single instant photo following a specific topic.

6- France Press Agency Meeting at Ojo Rojo Fabrica Visual

Come and meet AFP award-winning photographers Juan Barreto and Raul Arboleda, as well as journalist and director Florence Panoussian. Agence France-Presse (AFP),  has existed since the 19th century, has 201 offices in 151 countries, works in six languages, with some 1,600 journalists (text, photo, video) of 80 nationalities.
AFP has been in Colombia since 1946, where it now has a fixed team of 12 people, including award-winning photographers Juan Barreto and Raúl Arboleda, and the journalist and director Florence Panoussian.
Juan Barreto will present a selection of his Venezuela photos about the mass protests of 2017 and Raúl Arboleda will show his images about crisis in Colombia and also post-conflict, while Florence Panoussian will talk about the multimedia organization needed to prepare this type of coverage.

1- Chiribiquete, the Sixtine Chapel of the Amazon

In this session of the scientific reading in astronomy Club  ASTROBLAA , there will be a videoconference with the researcher María José Castaño.

The discovery of the mythical Chiribiquete National Park is undoubtedly one of the most important scientific facts for Colombia in recent decades. This park, little explored and almost unknown, has been for centuries, a sacred site for countless indigenous communities. For its part, natural scientists consider it a paradise because of its intact biodiversity.
In this videoconference, our guest will tell you about the natural and cultural treasures that the expedition members of the Serrania de Chiribiquete have found, and will reveal how the consequences of the post-conflict are putting it in check.

1- RITUALS ON THE TICUNA AMAZONIAN COMMUNITY

PLACE: MUSEO ARQUEOLOGICO DE BOGOTA

With: EDSON TOSTA MATAREZIO FILHO, phd in anthropology from Sao Pãulo university


This presentation will show a general panorama of the Ticuna - people located at the triple border: Peru, Brazil and Colombia, and which is the most populous indigenous group of these last two countries. After, some aspects of the Ticuna ritual life will be described,  especially the ritual of female initiation, the so-called "pelazón" in Colombia and "festa da moça nova" in Brazil. This is the most important ritual of this town, with important connections with mythology, social organization, cosmology, shamanism, music and daily life.
